Effectively preparing employees for key roles in transformation projects

The transformation to becoming a data performing enterprise in managing projects, programs and cross-departmental functions is a complex management task. Suitable employees are not always available to fill key roles. Because of this, candidates without sufficient experience must be quickly enabled to successfully manage projects. Executive coaching from our experienced experts does exactly this.

Valuable Skills and Expertise from the Experts

Executive coaching for your employees: for almost 20 years, our experts have been making the IT projects of INFOMOTION customers a success in many different work areas. They collect new expertise and experiences every day in project and program management, in cross-departmental functions like test or change management or in technical roles like solution architecture. Through executive coaching, they share this knowledge with customers and enable key persons to take on important roles in challenging projects. To do so, they quickly and effectively enable candidates for key positions to act confidently and successfully in complex projects and programs, helping to transform their company into a data performing enterprise. Valuable skills and expertise from experienced experts, for up-and-coming experts. Specialist knowledge and methods based on practice: experienced executive coaches from INFOMOTION give employees the tools they need to act effectively and in a targeted way for their own professional practice. Our executive coaching is designed for all roles: project and program management, test management, change management, system architecture, product ownership, scrum mastering. Executive coaching for project and program managers focuses primarily on agile or phase-based project management methods – project communication, stakeholder, risk and benefit management, an understanding of roles and actual behavior in project roles, as well as the interaction between project management and the corporate culture.

Executive coaching from INFOMOTION gives your employees the relevant professional knowledge and methods they need quickly and effectively for project management tasks, significantly reducing the time they need to begin their new role.

Process and elements of executive coaching

Executive coaching from INFOMOTION is tailored precisely to the specific needs of transformation projects or programs. The coaching can be temporary, for instance for onboarding key personnel, or ongoing throughout the entire project term. Executive coaching begins with a thorough initial conversation between the coach and coachee. During the conversation, they clarify the tasks at hand, the previous project experience of the coachee, areas of required development, and the length of the coaching, to create an appropriate coaching package for the specific case. Other participants, like a supervisor, can be involved in the briefing and initial discussion upon request.

Potential approaches to executive coaching:

  • Crash course: teaching key work techniques, tools and contexts relevant to the role in the specific project.
  • Training on the job: preparing for and following up on the planning meeting together, developing project artifacts together.
  • Silent observer: similar to training on the job, but the coachee works independently and receives regular feedback from the executive coach.
  • Sparring: coachee acts independently without the coach, and regular confidential meetings are held on challenges and potential solutions.
